About the Little Big Band

The Little Big Band is made up of some of the best musicians in the ArkLaTex with a combined playing time of literally tens of thousands of hours. The band is led by Bill Halbrook, drummer and director of the Stardust Big Band and the Arkansas Jazz Orchestra, and features vocalist Shirley Chauvin who is one of the most called jazz vocalists in Arkansas. Shirley is able to knock you down with her dynamic interpretations, or to blissfully caress you with a steamy ballad. Other musicians in the band have performed with top named groups in the music business such as the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, and the Stan Kenton Orchestra. You won't find a better group anywhere.
